Terracotta interior no longer option

Just came back from placing my deposit on 135i today in San Diego. Wanted the Terracotta interior LWB8, but it is no longer listed on the new brochure, nor is it an option when the sales manager attempted to order. He will check with the port tomorrow. Anyone else with a recent attempt to obtain this interior???

No anthracite headliner option either, bimmer bummr.

They probably didn't have it checked off as a Priority one order, and that's why the software wouldn't let them select it. They have to designate it or it's not available.

The anthracite headliner was never an option in the US.

It's never been in the brochure. Call them back and tell them it is a Priority 1 option, and to order it for you. Lemon Leather is the other P1 option for our 1ers here. They should be able to specify it on a configurable allocation.

You've never been able to get the anthracite headliner on the 1 series in the States, so that is not surprising.

thanks for the info. The new brochure though doesn't list the terracotta as an option any longer. I'll call the salesman back. Priority one refers to what?

Again, it was NEVER listed it as an option in any US brochure... It's only for those in the know. Call them and tell them it is a Priority 1 option, and to get it for you.

Thanks larryn, I have the small rectangular printed brochure (printed 2007) in my hand with terracotta listed as an interior option. The larger, current brochure does not. I wall call the dealership. tnx!

You're right, and that was a preliminary brochure that was never meant for public consumption. I have it sitting in front of me as I type too. We also have it posted here, and it was great to look at, but there are numerous mistakes and omissions on it.

Notice it doesn't show Lemon too... There are a bunch of us 1Addicts with that specced on our cars.

Btw, you aren't the first who taught their CA something that they didn't know (or forgot). Those guys have a LOT to know about lots of cars.. We are pretty much "1 experts" here, or darned close to it.

When I ordered mine the dealer modified an existing allocation they had. I was sitting at his desk while he was configuring the car and it wouldn't let him select Terra. It was there, but the box was "greyed out". I told him it had to be a customer car for that option and he looked at me funny. He had to back out a couple of screens and change it from a dealer order to a customer order, and sure enough it let him check the box.

His exact comment was "Thanks, I learned something new today!".

If I hadn't already seen cars on this forum with Terra interiors I would have probably just given up on it and ordred black, but I knew it could be had and I wasn't taking no for an answer.

It's always good to do plenty of research going into these kinds of things! :w00t:

Does NE one know what headliner color comes with the terra interior color?

In the States, we all get the same colored headliner. It's a taupey gray.

I think Savannah Beige gets a beige headliner, but that might be the only exception.

I ordered Crimson red and terracotta interior, NE1 hav pix? I am debating whether to switch to Savannah beige since I have never seen the combo. not sure if terra(black 2 tone) + grey headliner + crimson red exterior will be da bomb or "da bust"!!

I would definitely go with beige with crimson red. Very hot. Not sure how the terra would look.
