Poll/Track use question
How many people plan on doing various types of "Track Days" with their 1-ers? Driver's Ed's etc.? Just curious. I plan on making mine a dual purpose Track day/Go to work car.

I remember seeing a very proud man take his rather expensive super car to a track day. He was as proud as punch and shaking with anticipation. He eased out of the pit lane and gunned it, the super engine letting all know that the super car was here to play.
He was a man of reasonable caution and appreciation for tracks so knew that the first lap was not the time for heroics. Alas the dirver behind him, in a less than super car ,did not have such a view on tracks or sense and came blasting into the corner flat out. Cue one missed braking point (by a 100yrds) ,one screech of tyres, one loud bang, one clatter of gravel and steel mixing, and you have why I will not be taking my beloved to a track day :-) FYI, both cars were written off - thankfully no serious injuries. |
