SIde mirror sizes???

A group of us are planning on ordering some mirror caps down here in Australia from the US.
HOwever, i noticed in the brochure it seems that the mirror on the passenger side is slightly larger (i guess to compensate for the greater distance from the driver maybe?... it is atleast the case in my grandma's 20yo merc)...
So i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this, or if anyone has there car could measure the mirrors and see if there is a difference???
