I searched and have not found any stock turbo e chassis cars with that. The f chassis cars can do this though.

That's what I am reading that they can with f chassis

What's the difference from the n55 engine on the e series and the n55 engine on the f series

I have a f30 n55

And I have a n55 e series

and I am thinking of picking up good numbers on my e series

So for the 135i, you need to run meth to get you close to 400 whp and a really good tune. i would look at PTF (Pro Tuning Freaks), iv read they have done great work, however dont take my word for it do some research on them. Depending on how many kms are on your motor you might want to walnut blast the valves first before running meth, but the Meth will really help get you to 400 Whp. iv read that you can get 400whp on a n54 135i with just the JB4.

As for the n55 between the E series and the F series, i believe that there isnt much of a change between the two, however the aftermarket and tuning availability for the F series is very limited at the moment so you cant really do much.

Again this is from what i read and understand, so just keep reading.

The electronic wastegate turbos in the I think '14 and up n55 cars have a bigger turbo (similar to the size of the pure stage 1 from what I understand) so that's the difference there.

To get past 400whp your going to need a turbo upgrade. pure stage 1 should get you there for about 1k in parts, but the pure stage 2 is the way to go. It should net you about 425-450 on pump gas With supporting mods, and has a bit more potential when your ready for more power.

Also with the DCT I highly recommend ditching the jb4 for a custom MHD flash... I recently did and there is night and day difference in shifting/drivability.

I'm currently in the tuning process with my Dct car w/ full bolt on and ps2 and I can tell you the car feels like a rocket

Hope that helps! Good luck

Also the n55 doesn't really have issues with carbon build up like the n54 did.... some higher mileage ones show some signs but not nearly like the n54. I wouldn't worry about it.

What mods are you running besides the ps2 to support the bigger turbo?

Evelution Raceworks intercooler and charge pipe, vrsf dp, fuel it lpfp (don't think it's required for 93oct but I got it for peace of mind), and custom MHD flash.

That's about it for now.

Thinking of going with direct port meth in the future as e85 is scarce by me

Justin@mhd is. He's still working out the kinks, it's still new territory at this point and unfortunately the weather hasn't been cooperating for me make clean logs lately, so the process is taking a little longer then it probably normally would... but the car is running well so far.

On a E series you need a turbo upgrade to hit 400

No issues at all. I always drive in manual mode though, I wouldn’t recommend driving hard in auto mode, and also I would disable the trans “kick down” feature through mhd.

When you hammer it in auto mode the engine builds boost before the trans gets a chance to downshift. I feel like that added stress at high rpm is probably bad for the clutches.

If and when my clutches start to slip I will be adding ssp clutch packs, should be good for more power then I’ll ever be able to make.

my clutches slipped when at WOT...ps2 + meth + FBO running mhd flash.

from what I've read and seen on here, it's always meth that throws the car/tranny over the threshold
