White smoke (maybe vapor) from Oil Cap when removed

So I picked up a 2011 dct 135i about 1.5 months ago, and it's absolutely my favorite off all the cars I've owned (some funs ones on the list too!). Randomly on Monday I got some type of message indicating "oil level low", I ran the oil check through the dash and it was below the "low" line. Panicked, pulled over, let the car sit, started up, then the oil level was in the middle of the bar. When I bought the car it was over halfway on the level reading, I've put 1k miles on the car. Car has 41k miles on it.

Flash forward two days (I check the oil level probably 10 times a day because I sit in Santa Monica traffic and have nothing better to do). Oil level is exactly on the low line and says "+1 Quart". Drove yesterday, stayed consistent there, and was consistent today. Picked up an extremely overpriced quart of mobil 1 5w 30 full synthetic, popped the hood, removed the oil cap, and there was white smoke/condensation, not thick, but a steady stream. I didn't notice any strong scent.

I bought an extended warranty, but am hoping for some background info before I go into the stealership and wait for them to tell me nothing is wrong. Oil level went back to the middle of the bar when I put the quart in.

Is this "normal" for these cars, I've done some searching and seem some say it is, other say it's a blown headgasket, and a couple other options in between. So is this normal, and if not, what should I have the dealer look out for. I had a Honda s2000 and an Rx7 previously, which gulp oil like it's their milkshake, this is my first BMW. Yay issues already!

Thank you,

TLDR: car apparently burned a quart of oil in a month, when I replaced the quart white smoke when I removed the cap. Is this normal?

Oil level should look like this, and no you shouldn't loose a quart in a thousand miles. I never loose oil...

When was the last oil change? Did they put the right amount of oil in? Was the correct LL-01 oil used? Add the 1L and keep an eye on it, only check the level once the oil has warmed up. My own car never uses oil, has always shown full like above, but I know the answer to all of the above questions.
