Anyone know of a place in our area that does powdercoating?

Hope all is well.

I ran into a guy who had the wheels on his car powdercoated at a place in Syracuse. I can't exactly recall the exact name - something like Jim's Wheels. Price he mentioned was pretty reasonable and results looked pretty good.

Sorry I don't have the exact name, but I'm pretty sure it was similar to the above, but probably a different first name.

I may still have the name of the place around here somewhere. If found I'll post it. Sorry again about being so vague, but I'm pretty sure that it's so and so's Wheels. If you don't have any luck tracking this down you could call the Monro Muffler place on Pittsford Palmyra Road in Fairport. I was getting my wife's car inspected there and the guy with the powercoated wheels dropped in to say hello to the manager, so perhaps he could help.

I was wondering the same thing. It's been so quiet in here lately! I couldn't resist, and took The One for a spin on Saturday afternoon. Man, I can't wait for it to get warmer! Hope all's well!

Dull. I'm not driving the car over the winter but start it up every couple of weeks. I've reduced the insurance to absolute minimal levels until May 1, but last Saturday I also couldn't resist and snuck out and drove it a few miles around the neighborhood then back to sleep.

Hey just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Matt and I will most likely be going to school at Syracuse in the fall. Just thought I would say hi. Does anyone know a place where I could garage my 1 during the week? I like having a car to drive home in case of emergency and freshmen can't have cars on campus. Thanks.

I've been driving her whenever it's sunny and the roads are dry. I just couldn't wait any longer!

Not sure if I can answer that question you should do a search for storage places in syracuse...rochester is a little over an hour away.

Yeah I know. But there's not exactly a Syracuse thread...this was closest...when I get up there I'll look around.

Had a little "incident" this morning. Had *just* turned the DTC off, taking the on-ramp to 490 at Winton, hit a wet patch on the curve going 30-35ish, and literally went flying. Aside from the crap in my pants and my pounding heart, I'm OK, and so's the One. Let's say I'm not likely to do that again!

OOH well glad youre ok.....I had a similar thing happen to me last summer coming out of the delta sonic in webster getting gas. I had forgot I had the dtc off and the road coming out of the wash was of course wet from all the cars coming out of the wash........I pulled out pretty fast trying to beat the traffic and fishtailed pretty good. I definetly learned from that experience.

It was a combo fishtail/drifting experience which all seemed to be in slow-mo. I'm seriously considering taking one of those BMW 2-day driving courses in SC so I can REALLY put this baby through her paces in a controlled environment.
