That sounds beyond my skill level and I would obsess over it if I didn't do it right. Do you think any auto/body shop or BMW specialist could do it correctly?

probably but who knows if they'll try to rip you off.

if you're concerned about perfect fitment you should just get the bmw version. you have black so cf wouldn't look bad at all on your car. it's around $425 on ebay but like i said it's perfect fitment and also real cf.

Painted. You have nothing else CF on the car. It would stand out and not in a good way IMHO.

Very nice...any way to get a closer shot of the back from a 3/4's view? I don't even care about the quality. I just want to get an idea of what that spoiler looks like on a convertible. I can't ever find pictures....(or the spoiler for that matter).

Here are a few shots from last year. Rims, Carbon Lip and Spoiler. Probably tint the windows this year and add a Carbon diffuser. Also have BMS intake, catless DP's and stage 2 tune.

With black grilles and trim I would cut off all the appendages on the right ride of my body just to have that car in my garage even if I couldnt drive it. Can't wait to get a spoiler for the back, some CSL wheels, and a kerscher front spoiler. Time and patience I suppose. I try to restrain myself to a part a month, but its more like 2 or 3 usually.

you'll notice that the ends are lifted some. I heated it to avoid that and also the middle so i can lay it downward and flat vs on top.
How difficult was it to heat it to get it to fit? Did you have any issue with it painted and heating it. I am so supprised no ones sells a painted version for the E88 at a reasonable price. I see some for the E82 posted here for $88 on Ebay. Nothing for the E88.

I ended up buying a used CF spoiler from another member on the forum. I have yet to install it.

I hear you. For the life of me, i don't understand why no one is making one like they do for the E82. I would only assume there is a market for it.

I'll bet the $88 factory in China hasn't received one to reverse-engineer yet.

Had to have it modified, to fit vert. All perfect except for the top edge for the coupe it's longer. So had to cut back edge and have it reworked cf wise.

Did you confirm whether the spoiler you bought was fiber glass or ABS?

I know this is an old thread...

...But I'm on to my second e88 and I'm trying to decide what I want to do with the rear end. On my first AW 08 e88 the rear seemed to plain and I wanted to make it more aggressive. I never loved the lip spoilers and I read all about the fitment issues. So I went a different direction... Now with my SGM 10 e88 I'm debating if I want to do the same thing again or maybe try custom fitting the M4 lip... Any suggestions???

$119 carbon ebay spoiler. Fitment is way better than anticipated.
