LCI lights question
Hey guys, I'm looking online for the LCI lights and I was on the Schmeidmann's website.
Their Blackline LCI lights has two different models, one for non Xenon/Adaptive lights and one for Xenon/adaptive lights. Since I got a car with Xenon/adaptive lights... I was wondering if it actually makes a difference? The rear brake lights doesn't move or anything so why are there different models for the tail lights? |

Running lights. With xenon you have the very sharp and cool lines in the black lines light up. Without xenon they do nothing.
I think.

Everyone should order the xenon led blackline #282 kit. It comes with two tail lamps in the box. And the #282 kit works for all US spec 128i and 135i cars. And the Blacklines are totally PnP. bmw p/n 63212225282

I probably would if it wasn't ~$400 USD.

Wait until December. Last year, they had $50 off all orders. So those black lines would only cost around $330 shipped lol. And you can probably sell off your pre-lci unit for $50-100 or something... so it's technically a $250 upgrade.

The $400 is totally worth it once you put them on. Haven't looked back since (only to look at the taillights of course )

the exception is the 2012-2013 128i with Halogens and the simplified red LCI lights - no LED.
I think there is an adapter BMW Cable kit or instead some Coding needed to get the lights to work right.
