Every time I have been offered a "loaner" from Doncaster BMW be it service or recall, they have tried to charge me for it. I have suggested that they self procreate and that they are renting me a car, not loaning it. End result is that I have walked on each occassion
How much, if anything, for your loaner?

I wonder if the radar cruise control is suitable for Sydney driving conditions IE leave half a car gap everywhere.
Wonder if it can handle being cut off also.

Nice! All I usually get is a 320i... Had a 320d once and an X5 once... After driving a 3 sedan all I want to do is get out of it and back into my car! Definitely not a good way to get an upsell.
BMW need to go back to Marketing 101... |

North shore bmw measured how much fuel when i got it, then asked me to fill it up to the same amount upon return. Never went back lol they also gave me a shitty 320i.
BMW sydney gave me a e90 325i, was free. Gave me full tank of petrol. SBC helped me return it with less than 1/4 left lol. |

Between Rolfe Classic in Canberra, and BMW's in Adelaide and Gippsland I've never paid for a loan car. Usually have gotten 320i, 120i, 120d, Mini's and even a Mazda 2.

I've got a friends E90 330D today. It's a pretty impressive engine however it still suffers from a little lag (noticeably less than the 320D though). Rolling accelation is very strong but it seemed to have a lot of issues putting the power down on the stock 18 inch runflats, TC was flashing till upwards of 80-90km/h on the drenched Melbourne roads this morning, this is understandable though given 520nm of torque
I absolutely hated the steering feel, it's just so light and artificial feeling compared to my pre LCI E92 with 19" wheels although i am unsure if it has active steering and i didn't bother to check the power steering tank cap to confirm. It was a great car overall and big step up in the power department compared to my 325i BUT that steering put me off the car completely. I guess you would get use to it after you spend a little while behind the wheel but after my 4 hour drive, I wasn't convinced. I just hope the car had active steering because if all new BMW's have that feel then that is a big disappointment IMO! |
