All of you N54 guys not running a tune yet better get one quickly before you run in to a new tuned 328...

Turner did a live webcast dyno of a F30 328i (and a 335i).
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1794048 "241 rwhp and 274 ft/lbs" I love the NA inline sixes as much as anyone, but a lot of folks have been excited about the potential for tuning the turbo N20 four. |

Very nice, sounds like a great daily driver as i'm sure the 8 spd auto on the tuned 4cyl will be good on gas and still pretty damn quick.

This modding thing is starting to get to me. I just turned 50K and like a switch I start modding. It's only been 2 weeks since turning 50K and I already have the PPK1 and SSK. Now I'm thinking about a FMIC. I'm not sure I can stop this without professional help.
Is a FMIC a good investment in terms of performance gain and engine efficiency? help!!! |

To the FMIC question - YES. I recently got an oil catch can as well, I would invest in one of those too if I were you. I took off the diverter valve pipe to install the ER one, and there was a decent amount of oil in the piping; these cars have a lot of oil blow-by /offtopic But yea, that is pretty impressive for the 328i Last edited by Colt; 04-10-2012 at 01:52 PM.. |

What about a Vbox on a stock F30 335? The 8 speed auto makes it a totally different car vs the old 6 speeds. Or better yet, a tuned N55 E90 and an F30? Same tune of course please!

Great post Mike. The N20 seems like an incredible platform that responds really well to tuning. Those times and trap speeds are quicker than stock N54's!! Looks like good things to come from BMW now that they're going FI. Turbo ftw!
