18 of us - it's going to be a good one if all of us turn up! Do we have any plans of whats happening after yet? Or are we winging it?

Hi Paul.
Even if only 50% turn up- 9 aint bad!

I've put some links for pubs, clubs & eating places in the online flyer.

If everyone turns up around 12 or so, then we can have a trip over to a local pub for a drink & some grub later on.

I don't see (m)any women coming to this meet- is this a good thing or not??!

I'm pretty much up for anything- meal, drink, curry, club- whatever everyone else fancies.

We could cause quite a disturbance in Derbyshire if all of us do turn up!

I had a little time for a game of 'paint a convoy map'!
Hope more members can tell us if they are going join the northern, southern or start their own!?

Enjoy!

When I drove down to London on the weekend I started to think how I was looking forward to the meet. Then, as I approached the midlands the information signs displayed 'Delays expected April 8th & 9th, Donnington Event'. Obviously this was for the british superbikes, but it got me thinking, do you reckon we could get them to do this for us on 22nd. Maybe something like 'Right lane reserved for E90Post cars enroute Donnington event'

Now that meets (and related threads) seem to be more and more popular and often, we ask that future meet threads be placed in the regional forums for organization purposes. Thanks!

Hahaha- nice one FD!
I'll try ringing Donington this week to see if we can use their facilities to clean the cars up a bit- even if it's just a bucket & water.

Jon, the best place is probably the Ottershaw Shell Garage just off J11 - see the map. Meet there about 9:30am? I think we need more than 2 hours to cruise up there.

Thanks. Let me know what they say. I have got a couple of buckets and, autoglym kit and some nice polishing clothes etc, so am happy to bring it all down for a general use. We definately all need to bring a or two in a bikini to get soapy down at donnington. I even bought an autoglym Hi-Tech Flexi Blade to help speed up the drying process. Havent had a chance to use it yet (will hopefully try today if i get a chance to clean the car). Anyone used one? What do they think. Looks pretty cool on the autoglym website.

Oh dear, I got my E90 as a 45 Year Birthday Present to myself, so I would feel way to old, and so rather 'life unsuccseful' for your meet.

Have a Good time, maybe next time nearer to South Coast, and some retirees

I agree, there is no age restriction or success measure here. Join the drive! Only requirement is an e90 (except for oilburner who has a special dispensation to come in his e46). And I also agree with Jon - great birthday present. What are you going to buy yourself this year?

I agree with Jon & FD.
There's no age making you too old for the meet, DonnyGirl.
It would definitely be great to see you & your car at the meet- you are more than welcome.

I just spoke to Donington & they said they were unable to provide car washing facilities to the public.
When I said we were meeting up as a group of BMW owners, the girl said most racing teams bring their own jetwash equipment!

I might try ringing a local BMW dealer nearby, to see if they would mind us borrowing their washes for a while on Saturday lunchtime.

If anyone can think of any other ideas to clean the cars up a bit, please let us know.

Viv

I am going to clean mine then drive it down with a cover on it. Going to wear my Clark Kent x-ray goggles to see through it during the drive.

BMW Stratstone in Derby are busy servicing cars, so can't help, but apparently there is a jetwash at the entrance to the airport, 5 mins from Donington.

I was even ready to tell Stratstone that we'd splash their name all over the forum if they'd help us out- b*stards!
