I will not be down until later AM, like 9 or so. Usually we go to the HH greg parking lit of the adjacent Cracker Barrel parking lot.

Did you get a thumbs up from a silver 135 on 400 yesterday?

That was me!

Do you guys know a good and reasonably priced shop that can do some suspension work for my 135i? I want to install new dampers and springs. Thanks!

I respect them as well, but I can't justify spending $500+ for a spring and shock install. Any other reasonable places, this is a pretty simple job for a tuner shop.

Get a couple friends together and do it yourself? Install isn't really that bad. Luckily I had my brother's lift to do my coilover install. But my last two cars I removed and installed my coilovers/springs myself over a dozen times on each car with a couple jackstands and a jack. You can easily knock it out in a couple hours with the help of a friend

I don't have the right equipment for the job. I got a quote for $400 from a reputable shop, I guess that's the lowest I will find. $100 a corner doesn't seem too bad.

Yeah, $400 isn't bad. What tools don't you have?

Proper jackstands and I don't have space in my garage to work on the car. Also, the $400 ensures that I got a proper install, it might be worth the peace of mind.

I have Megan Racing full-body coilovers. Comes with camber plates on the front asssemblies. I wish I would've held out for a set of Broadway Statics, I may switch to them later on or get stiffer swift springs.

Are the megan coilovers harsh for a daily ride? What made you choose them over the ST Coils? They seem to be around the same price.

I actually love the ride of the Megans, maybe I've just gotten used to them. The only difference I remember from OEM is height (ovbiously), they are stiffer, but just enough to notice bumps in the road, and there seems to be more road noise for some reason. I chose them over ST because they had camber plates, adjustable dampening, go lower than ST coils, and they were cheaper. I got mine for $800 shipped.

Damn, sounds like a sweet deal. I was asking because STs are usually the more popular choice around here.

They are. Most people hear Megan Racing and they stay away. But I talked to a couple people on here that have them and they liked the ride so I went for them

Where are you located?
I am going to have the shop do it, I don't have proper jack stands or the space. I am located in the Alpharetta area.

I don't want my car to handle like this anymore. Oh BMW, why build such a perfect little car and neuter its handling?

It was north bound between exit 11 and 12.

We should get a meet going, particularly for those of us outside the perimeter, or north metro area.

I may try and make it to the next C&O. It'll be closer to 9ish though. New wheels should be on by then
