Guys, I am getting some very generous offers for my torn up lip. Thank you.
For now I have added some touch-up paint and will not get a new one right now as I have other bills coming up. I was part of the original $499 group buy and I find it much harder to part with $700 plus shipping for a new one. Once I decide to replace it, AND if it doesn't come apart when I remove it I'll be in touch with those of you that have sent me PMs. In the order of highest offer first Thanks again. |

eh that sucks. Lowered cars really asking to be biffed or scraped on anything worse than a shallow driveway. I'm not sure how guys driving Ferrari's or other stuff like that put up with it.

They have a feature that raises the nose of the car by 3 inches at the push of a button

It's not that bad my 128 is only lowered about 3/4". My previous car was a lowered Cooper S so I got used to taking driveways at a diagonal and not pulling all the way into parking spaces to avoid curbs and bump stops. This time I just wasn't paying attention.

I don't have a lip and I still scrape coming out of my drive way if i have anyone in the car but me. Also, mine is a DD and sometimes they are a little slow plowing the roads in Colorado...
But I agree that they do make the front of the car look awesome, I think I am going to get the BMW Performance front and then just add those splitters that BMW offers for it, I don't think those would scrape.

They still scrape....On a side note I have scraped mine multiple times and they still have held up remarkably well considering I have had them going on 3 years now....BUT I will probably replace them within the next 1/2 year or so.... |
