BMW weights include the driver, full tank of gas, some luggage, and the options that they feel the "majority" of owners will purchase. In this case, that includes the sunroof, and likely the iDrive as well. Both of those add another 40lbs each.

My 128 has the BMW performance BBK....my Durango has Wilwood BBK with 16" rotors...adapted from a "Yukon" kit...was on Wilwood's home page for like 3 months...

I don't think it's THAT difficult to over take an 86/frs/brz.. I mean on paper the only downsight the 125/128 has is it's weight but it compensates with its relatively higher torque.. On the road my friend and I did a 2nd gear 60/70Km pull, my 125i just pulled away immediately infront and started before him.. As a track car I think that stock vs stock the e82 would struggle but power wise there is no match.
