Dropped and Spaced, looking good?
So I got my car back from AutoCouture Motoring on Friday after they installed the KW Sleeve Kit, along with RS Technik Spacers (12mm front/12mm rear) along with stud conversion.
Car rides surprisingly well, slightly harder than stock, although I have seen a few complain about the stock ride (I am a former STI owner and have to say a harsh ride doesn't bother me, but to each their own). Yes, before asked I will say that with a 12mm spacer in front it does rub when full lock to left, not as bad to right. It does not rub at all in rear, unless you really motor over whoops, which is not my driving style. Hope you guys like it

Pretty sweet, for my taste the rear is too low though. I'd keep a 1" extra rear height and I guess the front could just be a tad narrower as the wheels seem to pop from under the wells.
Nice ride, love the look without front plate! Keep the pics coming! Any more mods planned? |

Looks great, what is should've come out of the factory IMO
These are stocked sized tires, right? Also, what did you mean by the sleeve kit? Is that the full coils or just springs on otherwise stock dampers? More pics from all angles please!

I am unsure of your question, the front is on 12mm spacer, as well as the rear 12mm spacer.
Haha, what I was trying to say is unless your speeding over uneven pavement (i.e. section of highway that meets bridge or overpass, or side streets that cross over another street with a high crown in the middle) your fine. Basically, as long as your driving normal, not killing and crushing it like your running from the cop's the rear doesn't rub.

I think he means per each wheel (so 24 per axle). In other words, 4 x 12mm spacers

I'm lost............Wheel spacer's are sold in pairs (one for the driver side, one for the passenger side). Thickness varies in different millimeter sizes (i.e. 10, 12, 15, even 20mm, etc....) They are then mounted between the hub and wheel, hence the stud kit, as the added thickness now puts less lug thread in the hub which is unsafe. Any spacer run on these cars should also be hubcentric, as it will ensure that the wheel sits completely centered on the hub, much like as it would when stock..........please see reference photo below
Stock Hub.... Wheel Spacer w/Hubcentric Ring....

I was able to purchase these from a friend that had them on his 1M. He owns AutoCouture though, so he is obviously trading up The wheels and tires are bone stock.

Generally when people say they added 12mm spacers it means a pair of 12mm's. |
