Emissions ready lights

I had all ready, drove to the testing station, and failed for two. When I arrived home, I did another OBD2 scan, and sure enough, those two "not ready" were now there.

How can they change for the worse in 20 miles?

Very likely, you cleared the codes at home, then while driving the car the issue became live again. What codes do you get?

You only have so many restarts before the not ready codes will come back. From everything I've read, the system only does checks when you first start the car up so you can drive it all you want but when you shut it off and turn it on again, it's going to see if the same emissions condition is set.

Evap and Secondary Air

I found a loose hose connecting the secondary air pump to the valve so I'm thinking that may be the culprit.
