Identify leak?

Hi all,

Can you please help me identify a potential source of this oil leak. Luckily, no oil leak on the ground. I have noticed the leak when I drive the car and then afterward there is a strong oil burning smell. I have attached some pics and input would be greatly appreciated.

Also just to provide some orientation context this is on the left side of the engine bank.

Thank you!

What model and year is it? The N54/55 typically need the oil filter housing and valve cover gaskets replaced at 50k miles, sometimes sooner.

Sorry, I should have mentioned the car is a 2008 N54 with ~68K.

Ok, then if the OFHG, valve cover gasket and oil pan gaskets haven't been replaced yet, then they are well past the time.

Valve cover gasket. It's recommended to replace the valve cover at the same time. They have a tendency to crack as they're plastic.
