MHD flasher connection issue.
Hi all,
I have a 2008 135i 6mt with; jb4 G5, DCI, vrsf downpipes, and a berk racing axleback. I have e85 readily available and I have been running a light mix for some time. I would really like to reduce the possibility of shift bog so I purchased the 2step NLS relay. After installing it and double checking it 4 times it wouldn't work. (I checked Clutch signal and WOT signal) I was informed I would need a back end flash to even use it and I figured it was time to go that route anyways. My plan was to run MHD flasher along with Jb4 for wastegate settings and boost control. I purchased the d+k can cable off ebay, OTG cable, and installed the application on my Android G4. No matter what I do I cannot get it to connect to the ECU. I am running the jb4 in map 0 while I'm trying to connect. Has anyone run into similar issues and what solutions have they found? Should I look into other means besides MHD flasher? What is the best solution for shift bog? Appreciated, Wes |

if the seller has a return policy i would try to either exchange and hope for a good one or return and spend a little extra on some proven cables like the "BMW software cable"

this is the wrong forum to be asking about bms products. you'll get a quicker and more reliable response in the suport section of the other forum. with the 2 step/nls you don't have to have a flash. you do have to have the rev set to a certain point. if it's at 0 it's off. something like that. re read the threads about it. I'm pretty sure you have to turn it on kinda like boost limiting. might have already done that but that's a start.

I see thanks should have put it in the other forum, as far as the 2 step relay goes I understand the functionality of it I just cant get it to work. I was told by bms that I needed a flash for it. Maybe not though, thanks for your input.
