Tire rubbing
I have a question about a tire rubbing issue. The previous owner of my car (just bought it) put slightly taller rear tires on than the stock size. This isn't a problem from what I can tell other than a slight rubbing from the back right tire.
Where the wheel well meets the body panel on the very edge there is one spot that has a slight "bump" in the body work. Maybe 1/4" in height from the rest of the bodywork. This bump is only on the passenger side. It scrapes under hard accel or through left turns when the car leans on that side. The bump itself is "soft" and rounded so I don't expect or see any damage to the tire, however it makes a rather unpleasant noise that I'd like to get rid of. Does anyone have any input on this? Pic here:

This has happened to me with my current rear wheel setup (arc8 et62 w/ 5mm spacer, 275-35 tire). Happens in the same scenarios you mentioned.
What tire size/brand is it? Are you running a spacer? You should definitely get a heat gun or hair dryer and carefully get that are hot. Then bend that part back with a pry bar or bat using the tire for leverage. The metal is soft and will bend easily. You may have to jack your car up a little bit to give you some room.

First off, that tire looks way too tire for the wheel well. That said, I agree with the above poster, heat it up and use a mallet to tap it back into the wheel well so that it doesn't rub.

Good call on the heat gun, I'll have to give that a try.
The tires are 245/45/18's in the back.

Easier said than done... the tires are brand spankin new. And I'm not in the mindset of dropping $500 on a new pair to fix this issue.

The price is awesome but I'm pretty sure I'd die if I tried to drive with those in any kind of snow lol

Well then the actual problem is still this bulge since the driver side tire has zero issues
