Removing CIC 8in screen

Anyone know how to do this? Does the black bezel pop off at the seams giving access to screws for the screen? I ask because a friend of mine picked up a 128 at auction but the screen is all scratched to hell and we were trying to determine if we can just replace the screen with one of those sharp screens like you can on the E90s. Another friend of mine got one of those screens new for like 200$ for his e90 and its crystal perfect. He doesnt want to try the polish route.

I never did it but from my experience working on German cars they'll make it super complicated. Good luck.

On the e90s its super easy. Just two screws and you have access. We dont want to start prying on things if we dont know for sure.

It's easy to remove the black bezel (two screws behind the wents), but I haven't tried to access the LCD itself.

How do you get to the screws behind the vents?
