HID AE Troubleshoot

Recently, both sides of my HID AE went out. Since they both went out, I'm guessing its not the ballasts. I checked all the connections. The only thing I think it can be is this black cylinder that is filled with some black potting. I'm guessing that is the transformer? Maybe the transformer went out? Thoughts?

we wouldnt recommend HID angel eyes due to fiber optics turning Yellow instead of crystal clear
