Convertible rubber seal splitting at top of windscreen frame

Hi has anyone else had their rubber seal start to split on their convertible ?
This is the rubber seal between the roof and the windscreen frame - see photos below

Concerned if rain can get in when it wears more in time - don't know if I should get them to replace it.

I throw on some einszett Gummi Pflege Stift' Rubber Care Stick every couple of months to keep it conditioned. You could try some and see if it helps before you have to spend more money replacing it.

I've never held onto a vehicle as long as I have my 2008 128i Cabrio, so taking care of rubber moldings and seals has never been an issue before.
I did a search and there's a automotive supply outfit here in the GTA that stocks and sell the stuff.
