Where are all the 1 series that are already built
When I have bought a BMW in the past I had never had to have one built, the dealer could always locate one for me from another Dealer. When I ask them to locate me a 1 series the dealer said they are all pre sold. I just find it hard to believe that all the 1 series are already sold. Anyone have any insight as to why there are not 1 series on the Dealer lots besides the demo cars. I have not seen any 135i’s on the road. When I test drove the 135i it had 30 miles on it. A week later I drove it again and it had 100 miles on it. If I had ordered a 135i without driving one I would be at the Dealer when they received one to test drive it. Anyone have any insight as to where all the 135i’s are.

The car was only officially released on March 22nd, there is a low allotment and people have been lining up to buy them for over a year now.

I was at the local dealer last week and they looked to see what was available for dealer trade in the Northeast. They could only see 54 135's, and of those only 11 were manual. I put an order in the next day because none were close to what I wanted.

If there are people lining up to buy, then there should be zero 1 in the dealer lots. I think it is a hihg demand car in the first few months but no way near the first M3 came out. They have cars on ordered but there is no waiting list.

My garage has one in it the last time I checked. All dealers where given an allotment. Some/Most were pre-sold. Some dealers brought in cars for sale. Most were sold. It takes around 2 months to get one delivered to your spec. |

Supposedly BMW has reduced builds/allocation dramatically due to dollar to Euro conversion (they are not making enough margin). My dealer is largest volume dealer in state and claims to only getting 1/2 per month allocations.
