High and low beam with aftermarket bulbs.
Just a quick question.
If I got an aftermarket D1s bulb, will the low and high beam still function as normal? I'm assuming all high and low beam is, is just a higher voltage for high beam and hence brighter output? And most D1s aftermarket bulbs can handle both low and high beam voltages right? Thanks! |

I could be mistaken but there is no higher output for high beams.
Its just a shutter that opens to create a wider angle of light and thus looks brighter.

^ That's correct. 135's have Bi-Xenon in which an actuator pulls down the bottom half shutter behind the projector lens. The bulb makes no voltage change, makes it safe to 'flash-to-pass'.
