Ohlins Road & Track Suspension
I am a bit confused as to whether Ohlins offers Road & Track suspension for the 1M and E9X M3 yet. HP Autowerks' website shows Ohlins suspension for 3 series and 1 series, and the Ohlins website lists R&T for regular 3 series cars, but states that those components are not for the M3. It further states that the R&T line will be available for the E92 M3 later in 2012. I thought that suspension components for all 3 series and 1 series cars were interchangeable.

What do you consider to be affordable? The suspension will be adjustable so yes it can be street friendly; depending on your settings. You would work with Ohlins for what you think is comfortable or performance. The work that we're doing is for an adjustable setup. PM me for further details, because this thread is out of place ATM.

And for what they are, they're priced VERY well. **EDIT** Sorry guys, it's for E82 non-M's only, not the 1M. My mistake.

Yeah, they're still working on that. I have to make take it to the shop and have them installed this week...then they'll be able to determine availability and pricing (very soon though).

And if I'm not mistaken, this solution will not be labeled "Road and Track". It sounds like it might come in at a slightly higher price/ performance than the normal R&T setups from the tea-leaves I've been reading.

This is true. As I've stated via private message...this may not be the kit for you (at your price point). Ohlins does make a cheaper kit (I'll confirm tomorrow), that may work for you, but for your money and what you're trying to do...it may be better to master/enjoy the stock setup for a while (referring to the OP).
