Bottom line if you want something bad enough, pay for it right then and there or else be prepared in case someone else does before you can.

They said they have people in front of me which seemed legit to me.. So dont think local people just jumped in front of you.. What is Hating on WSTO going to get you? If he was a serious buyer he would've paid right then and there. To me it sounds like they held it for you as long as they could, and unfortunately the two parties were unable to establish contact and the item sold to someone else. If you want an item that bad where you're gonna be sour about it if you don't get it, this is the PM you send something to the effect of:

I would like to purchase item, I have payment ready please reply with how to proceed.

You will either get a reply saying it's sold already, or how they would like you to pay. If you don't have the payment ready, don't be surprised if someone jumps in front of you, we're all enthusiasts but at the end of the day this is business, you want this? Great, come buy it. Item is in demand? Better buy it soon, or it may be gone. Obviously you feel misled, and are free to spend your money where you want, but for future reference if you are as serious a buyer as you are indicating in your posts, I'd have payment ready to go for future purchases, especially on forum FS or part outs

So here's the problem I see. If the customers are telling the truth (and there is at least one PM posted to show it) they were told via PM that they had until a certain time to confirm and pay. Assuming that they made contact by at least the same manner (PM or better) by the time required they should expect that the verbal contract be upheld (even if it exceeds the $ value for a verbal contract). See, it is customary to respond in the manner in which communication was made. Therefore, unless specifically told to call in the PM response, PM response is appropriate.

I understand the frustration. I would also be frustrated. Heck I am the same guy that now will rant on and on about HIN being cancelled and the underhandedness lack of caring for clients that that action entails. The difference is that I know the WSTO guys personally and know them to be generally upstanding businessmen. I can only attribute this to a mistake and not some overt decision to screw some people over.
