Changes to E87 after 2005 model?

I owned a 2005 E87 (120i) and I'd like to get another (pre 2010 model) as I like the look. There was just some things that seemed half baked on the car and it was a bit problematic. Seeing that the first 1 series only launched the year before, has the later E87's seen drastic changes/improvements or has it just been cosmetic?

Buu, my wife has a 2005 E87 (120i) and I have recently purchased a 2010 E87 (120i) with m1 kit, as new. (wheels, suspension mods and a few other things). Both are automatic, Mine has M+- on gear lever.
There is little difference and "joe-blow" in the street, would not be able to tell them apart except mine has 18 inch alloy rims and my wife has 17 inch alloys. There are a few minor variations in the front and rear lower body work

The only thing I miss is Navigation system and those beautiful hallo head lights and the later 2014-15 tail lights
