Perhaps that's just the conventional wisdom?

"Made to be clearly visible to consumers, the mark in the shoulder area also helps to pinpoint the location of the indicators. When measuring tread depth, one should avoid the area with the indicators."

Heading back out to the track today. Weather is a little cooler and I've now got M3 control arms. Still going to start with the same cold pressures and go from there.

How did you go?

I never used ZII tires, but starting at 34PSI cold sounds a little bit high. However with limited front camber you shouldn't go too low to avoid chewing the tires.

It was a chilly morning (temps in the low 60s) so I started off at 32 front/35 rear. I found that I was rolling over the tires a little too much so I added 2.5 pounds to the front and 1 pound to the rear and it was much much better.

With the addition of the M3 control arms and bumped up pressure it was so much better than the first time out.

That's right about where I land as well. Without more camber, I can't go lower without rolling over too much. I have no complaints about grip at that point anyway, as suspension deflection becomes a much larger issue with the amount of grip the ZIIs offer.
