low mileage oil service

Hey all,

I just got "low mileage oil service" because it's been one year since my last oil change but I didn't drive 15,000 miles (I only drove 7000 miles, so they didn't reset either).
What's the difference between this oil change and the regular oil change?
I looked up the oil they used, (7 qts of 07-51-0-017-954 and filter 11-42-7-566-327), and apparently it's engine oil for MINI.
Does this engine oil last 15,000 miles or do I have to change oil again in 6 months or when I drive another 8,000 to make it 15,000 miles?

I'm seeing that part number as BMW High Performance Synthetic 5W30 50 gallon drum size. In quarts it's 07-51-0-017-866. My dealer uses Quarts (way to be green guys) But this is the same stuff they put in my car and I think everyone elses. I checked the TIS pirate I have and this is not the oil listed in the TIS. But again I think a lot of dealerships use this.
