Is there any chance of a 2 step(launch control) map being developed soon?

Thanks for your reply - Do you happen to know if that's 16psi peak or 16psi sustained??? big difference there I imagine?

Still can't figure why i'm seeing 13ish psi on stage 1 drive st map - I would expect it to be lower since cobb says sport st map push 11 psi.

he told me 16 no issues.. Running at 20 or over constantly will wear them faster.

COBB figures IMO are guides and alot comes down to the external factors.. temp altitude ect ect.

I would not be too worried about 13psi on Drive, also is that a spike or average boost max for each pull?

13.5-8 is the highest boost I see on 3rd gear pull on average. it does come down to 11ish and I would say that the average acorss the board would be 11ish. I'm not too worried about it but just trying to match Cobb's numbers with my own.

Thanks!

Hello Guys,
I hoped that somebody could just confirm that for stage 1+ Cobb FMIC, the FMIC doesn't necessarily need to be a Cobb. Will any brand do the trick? I have a Wagner installed so should I be sticking with regular stage 1 maps?
Thanks in advance.

You are good to go with the Stage 1+ maps. I run a 7" VRSF Intercooler but any aftermarket will work.

Vehicle "ON" Position Before Install

The Cobb AP User Guide (download from the website) says to push the start button "once" to power on. The manual that comes with the Cobb (Quick Start Guide) to push the start button "twice". Which is the correct method?

is it hot in your area? Hotter air temp can raise the boost target with COBB i read.

COBB sent me there Dyno for the Stage 1 Drive + FMIC HP was 316 ATW...

was shocked to see it that high... but i am very happy with that map, tried sport but found my e92 ran a lot smoother on drive.. so sticking with it.

Yes, pushed once and did the install. it took about 12 min to copy the stock ecu and about 15 min to load the map (Stage 1 Aggressive LT). I took it out for a drive and the diff was noticeable. I had so much fun that I continued driving for 120 miles!

I did have one issue - the BT, the radio and the menu stopped working. I turned the car off, waited for about 15 min and tried it again- all back to normal!

Of course, I now want a FBO set up!

LOL join the club. Just have to re-prioritize where the $'s get spent. Easier said than done.

Trouble with data logging

I have been trying to get a decent data log with the AP but I can't select the individual cylinder timing or timing corrections to log. Anybody else have a similar issue? I have latest updates installed on the AP and access port manager. Car is 2011 135i w/DCT ROM is 98G0B.

Thanks

FMIC next!

Next mod will be a FMIC - here's an interesting FAQ on intercoolers.

Anybody? I uninstalled and reinstalled the AP today and there was no change. Is cylinder timing an available log function for the N55 with COBB?

What do you mean you can't select them? They are part of the default monitor list, so there should be in any datalog you do unless you deselect them. Can you send me an email and let me know exactly what you're doing and what the result is?

"can't select them" as in they are not there to select. The option to select them does not show up on data log list, live monitor, and does not show up on the data log. I'm open to the possibility that I'm doing something wrong but I really don't think so. It's strange. Email on the way.

Big thanks to Josh for getting this issue resolved quickly. Great work and great customer service.

Now that I can get a decent data log would anybody help me out and take a look at one of my runs? I'm still learning what I should be looking for on these logs so any feedback would be appreciated. I am seeing some timing corrections below 4700rpm, how much is considered normal? These were done on stg. 1 aggressive, in 4th gear, on a slight incline. Vehicle info below.

Thanks
