I know, they will let me run if I have a cage, but I dont have the time to work out building one myself right now as I cant strip the car and I want to be able to put the rear seats back in(so it would need to be bolt on).

Its also just a pain to keep the car looking clean and stock with the cage mounts, ohh well. Hopefully ill be able to finish the project car soon. But that car requires a lot of TLC before she'll be ready.

I asked Trackardia if there was any HPDE insurance and have not heard back from them. I don't see the event listed on the Lockton site. If you look at their link and are a member of BMWCCA, NASA, or use an SCDA day, you can purchase insurance for those events; Monticello, Lime Rock, NJMP are all are covered by HPDE insurance. No way would I take my daily driver out on a track, even in a controlled environment without it. I remember just last summer at the end of No Name Straight, just as you go up the hill, watching a nice 350Z loop into the guardrails at Lime Rock during an HPDE. All I could think was "glad I'm insured".......

Who would give trace-able incriminating information on an inquiry? Just make model year age etc etc.

I was going to sign up for this event, but now you've got me scared about the insurance...anyone have NY Allstate and know if they cover a non-competitive track/training event? Also "Butch", that link doesn't work, do you have another so I can see the insurance you are talking about?

Anyways, I'm excited about it. Hopefully I can go (and be insured) and join the 1er crowd at Monticello!

Me and 3 other guys will be leaving from Bay Ridge at 5am. Would be nice to meet up along the route with the rest of you folks.
