Isn't it difficult to know if a valve is fully seated? We heard about an engine not running right after a valve cleaning, which was likely caused by foreign matter getting into the cylinder. Seems like it would be really easy to do.

sigh...yeah...i guess it's walnut blast or nothing? I think eventually the oil companies will have to start adding a low temperature high volatility cleaner of some sorts?
Something, anything that will evaporate from the crank case, travel its way though the vent system and into the combustion chamber cleaning as it goes over time. Right about now, all I'm doing to keep this from happening is having my oil changed every 5k miles with Elf oil. I'm hoping this keeps me out of the nuts. I'm amazed Seafoam has not been tried with any success? i did a quick google search and could not find any before and after photos of anyone seafoaming their valves with any success? I've actually used seafoam before on my 135i N54 and it had my car on a mustang dyno at Cobb about 2 weeks later. Turned decent results...however I had 3 injectors go out the week after the dyno...related...unknown.
