MHD or wedge custom tune

Just looking for some opinions. I have a 2012 135 completely stock except for bms intake and ppk. I'm trying to decide on a tune. Not trying to push the limits of the car but I want good power. Thanks for your opinions

Wedge uses MHD. They are not mutually exclusive.

You could always go get MHD and then spend (I think it's $60) for the off-the-shelf map and see if you like it. In your case I think you would probably be fine with a $60 OTS map. If you had more modifications and wanted to push the envelope more then a custom tune (with wedge for example) would make more sense.

I've been following the mhd and wedge threads over the last couple months trying to decide. Also, I don't plan on changing dp or upgrading intercooler.

Have you confirmed your car is flashable? If so, I would just go straight with a wedge tune. Just contact him and let him know what you are looking for and he will build the tune.

I have a DCT. I don't want to run meth, upgrade injectors or fuel pump either. I had a big power car before I picked up the 135 and I'm not interested in going down that road again. Just want a nice bump in power with my stock components.

I have the same car. Unfortunately I can't leave anything alone and the Pure stage 2 was installed. From a driveability standpoint nothing changed other than the fact it stays in power all the way to 7k. Tuned properly it will make a super track star. Can't wait to get rims, tires, and brake upgrade on so I can go rape the local race track and put the smackdown on a few local M cars. ;-)

If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up via email. WedgePerformance@gmail.com

Ken beat me to it. But I was going to tell you what he already did. He has a DCT car, which is a HUGE advantage to DCT car owners. They are a little different to tune and since he has one, the results transfer to you.

I have a dct car as well, and my car rips like never before, and I have tried a lot of maps and setups. You can see results on e25 in my thread. I will be testing a pump tune from wedge as well once the weather clears in socal. But you can see what to expect looking at my logs.

Since you are keeping stock intercooler and downpipe, you will hold a little more boost than me as well.

If I can give you my 2 cents, you should really consider an intercooler upgrade because your iats are going to shoot up. There are a few options that utilize the factory quick disconnects. Makes for a reliable, easy, leak free install. Probably be installed in A couple of hours start to finish.

Thanks guys. If I go the custom tune route, I would like a map for 93 oct. I'm not really interested in using an ethanol blend.

Let Wedge know your mods/fuel and goals. He will custom tune a map for you
