Wear on seat side

2012 128 conv has the grey leather showing signs of wear. Car has 9000 miles and it is driven by wife. Looks like she rubs the seat getting in and out. Is this covered by warranty ? Thanks

most likely not since its "wear and tear", but it doesn't hurt to try. Some people have gotten it fixed.

Won't be covered usually, condition the leather every couple months and it will help.

only 9k miles! WOW!
I'm not 100% about leather by all other plastics, a good soaking in Black Magic Tire cleaner will not only protect but also help make damage look less over the top.
But 9K miles is nothing! Shucks!

Garage List
The BMW warranty or the wife warranty?..lol. I'm very careful getting in and out of cars and I've still had to have the lumbar support leather redone in high mileage cars twice. It's inevitable really.

All depends on the dealer. Mine did a re-dye on my bloster right before warranty expired. Cannot even tell where it was re-dyed. That was more tha 6K miles and a year ago. Still looks perfect.

I'm thinking of having my bolsters done in a contrasting color when I get to that point. In the mean time I think I'll get some good covers made.
