Oil Filter Housing Gasket Leak

Took my 135i for a 55 point inspect at BMW (car is under Coverage One Extended Warranty) and the found an oil leak at the Oil Filter Housing Gasket. They said it's not much but there is evidence of oil underneath.

Anyone know anything about this... I'm not losing oil for the look of things... Should I get it fixed now or wait for under stuff to break lol and take it all under the same claim since I have to pay a deductible... Not looking to neglect the issue just wondering how serious it is.

Any leak is worth fixing to avoid future and more costly repairs, my opinion

I agree. Fix it now to avoid trouble in the future.

when it gets real bad it can cause engine oil and coolant to mix so you should fix it now

Had the same issue the other day when I got my coolant flushed, they told me that the oil drips right by the water pump electrical connectors. I didn't want to take a chance and had them fix it. I too have coverage one..

Thanks for the response gents... I caught this issue just be chance... I decided to do a 55 point inspection because I was getting close to the end of my warranty and noticed a humming sound that I thought was a bearing issue but they said it was my tires and that I had this leak... Already for it going in for service...
Would a coolant flush be recommended?

I am about to go to California for my first long trip in my 1, I just had the oil changed, air and oil filters replaced and coolant flushed for precaution.
The flush was $160, not covered under warranty.
There is a DIY for coolant flush on this site if you have the room to do it. I have cats and dogs around, didn't want to take the chance...
