paddle shifter retrofit
HI
so i did the paddle retrofit today. took a little over an hour. I used the burger tuning kit. Its a very simple plug and play harness and works great. I wish he would have made the harness a little longer though. |

this is the harness under the center counsel. i will add more pics later. http://www.flickr.com/photos/36402014@N08/3352015013/ the second pic is the kit handing under the dash. you plug it into the back side of the steering column in line with the wires that were already there. |

Was this the kit you buy the instructions and what parts to buy list?
How much money total did you spend? http://www.burgertuning.com/paddleshift.html Last edited by john08135i; 03-15-2009 at 08:08 PM.. |

just curious, why didn't get just order (or pick) a 128i with the sports package so you could get the paddle selectors right fromo the get-go?
i'd also love to see more pictures......

retrofit performance
Performance is the same correct - what I mean is, the shifts are as quick as the stock system???
I was in the same boat as you, I had to make some sacrifices due to wanting to finance at a low rate.... |

i got my wheel on ebay for fifty with the paddles and electronics already on it. the kit itself was 230. took about an hour to do. they should have made the wire longer.
