Rich, I did notice that one of my "fake-cats" seems to have a small hole in it....I would not have noticed it except when I was underneath the car and told my brother to tap the gas so I could feel for leaks at the flanges....I got squirted in the face from a small hole maybe the width of a circular coffee stirring straw...How much would that effect the sound? Am I losing any power? Can I wrap the resonators to prevent further squirting incidents? (LOL)
I'll PM but figure I'll post here as well since people like to know how these things are handled. Please snap me a picture if you can...but bottom line is I'll send a whole new pipe and give you a pre-paid return label to send that one back. Not acceptable. If you'd rather not bother swapping the pipe and would prefer having a local shop just put a little tag weld on there, I'll cover the cost. Either way I'd I'll love a pic so I can send to my fabrication shop.

One of the reasons I purchased my stuff from him...low volume, high quality, and great customer service.

I will attempt to take a picture. Like I said it is very minute to the point that it is almost invisible....would not have even known it was there without the squirt....

The little hole will reduce back pressure, improve the sound and add horsepower too:-):-)

I better go under the car and check, but mine appear to be OK. Please post the picture. Thanks.

Just a heads up folks. Fresh run of the new V2 Whisper exhausts were just completed. The V2's use new double walled tips for a richer appearance. Polished stainless and black ceramic coated still both available.

You can catch some recently installed customer pics in this thread:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=33

You can catch a nice rear quarter distance view in this thread(first photos car 401). Shows how nicely this 3" exhaust tucks up. No low hang pipes.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=63

With the production run just finished there are no lines and no waiting. We've even decided to hold the price right where it is for now(even though there is a build cost increase with the new tips).

NOTE: photos on our website still show the old single walled tips...any order placed we will be shipping the double walled.

I do have one single walled, polished stainless steel tip version in stock that I am letting go for $599.95. So if you were someone that liked the single walled tipped style or anyone looking for an extra special deal...float me a PM. Shipping still applies.

Shipping Whisper Exhausts ouside US

Hey folks,

I've had a series of PMs over the months looking for quotes to ship Whisper series exhauts outside the US and Canada. Thing is, the rates were crazy expensive. Some earlier quotes to Austrailia were in the $500-600 range..ouch. I had a talk with my Fedex rep and he gave me a # I can buzz daily to get special rates. The discounts are heavy but they do vary each day. A spot check earlier this week would have been $265 to ship to Australia, which is much more reasonable. Keep in mind it's a large box..50x20x8...so that is a pretty good rate for that size box. If anyone is interested in Whisper series exhausts we can make arrangements for you to ship it only on a day that gets us a rate in the range you agree on. Keep in mind that might delay shipping a few days, but it will save hundreds of dollars. We've got a full run of Whispers in stock with the new double walled tips..both polished SS and black ceramic coated.

That's good to know as I'm interested in your maddad midpipes later down the track. FYI Active Autowerke charged me around $265 to ship my axel back which sounds about right.

how does this compare to stock exhaust? louder? Deeper? and I'm just talking about the exhaust not the mid pipes.

Louder and deeper....just not obnoxiously so...just the exhaust channels a nice european sound versus a JDM sound.

Our midpipe won't fit but this should still be plug and play. To my knowledge, axleback fitment has not changed.

BTW when I went to my HPDE this weekend the first thing my instructor asked me (he drives a Z4M vert) was, "What exhaust is that? It sounds great!" So I am 3 for 3 with instructors at HPDE's with this exhaust!

Been waiting for you to deliver one for my 128 for how long now? Now you have to show me the ceramic tips that to me are the icing on the cake? I've held off from the BMWP piece because I want the Maddad Whisper sound and don't like the BMWP tips. You've said several times you were going to deliver...can you just sell me a damn kit of parts so my garage can make it work? What do I need...a flange? A piece of necked-down pipe? I can't try any harder to be a customer...there are plenty of performance minded 128ers out here who will buy (as evidenced by your own survey). Need product!
