N55 downpipe catted/non-catted?
Hey guys new to the n55 ..came from n54..
who has/had good experience with catted/catless downpipe for n55? if so what brand? True there is no DP fix? if you went non-catted did you just live with the light or what? Easier to install than n54 i heard is this true? |

Yes there is a fix available separately of a tune now. Stick with any known good brand and you won't have an issue. This holds true for just about anything though haha.

I have a Vishnu catted and it's great. Sounds very aggressive and spool time has improved. Even with a cat I get a SES light so I use the Can Tool from BMS to auto delete the light. BMS was hoping the DP Fix for the F30 N55 would also work for our cars but it doesn't unfortunately. Any iteration of aftermarket downpipe will be good. I haven't really heard of any complaints with any of them - BMS, Vishnu, AR, etc. You'll see a gain with all of them but also get a SES light.

I had AR and it great, took about 1 hr to install in my garage with just basic hand tools. Sold it and just bought Berk will let u know how that thing work out. But as far as i know all DP are same gain between 3.5" through 5" according to BMS website. So it all depend on how much you want to spend. Pmed me if u want to get BMS new.

Yup 4 jack stand. Short 22mm wrench, mix socket and wrench 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, and long extension. If you have cordless impact gun will be even faster. Get all the tools and go under the car other wise it pita to get in and out haha.
