certainly not where mine sits on my 135i. Mine (like everyone else I think) is in the DME. I see you're in Aus and therefore RHD too... did you get the extended harness?
aside from position, that doesn't mean its not working. need some logs to see whats happening. do you have the USB cable? also, what map are you on?

Where I got it installed they extended it with wires... And said as its wider it doesn't fit in Ecu box... I'm on map 5. And also have PPK1... No usb although where I got it installed I can get from them.

Should have bought the extended RHD harness as the product website clearly states. This would have allowed you to place the JB where it's supposed to be and probably avoided whatever issue you're experiencing, which is likely a result of a botched harness extension or heat.

Yeah im with the others. Id take it up with the shop doing the install if theyre an authorised dealer. It 100% fits in the DME box.

Doesn't sound like they are a "authorized" dealer to do this but some shop trying to take in business where and how they can.

I hate seeing a business doing this kind of stuff. Who did you buy the JB4 from?

thats not where it should be located.
but before we conclude that the JB4 has been damaged, i would contact Burger Tuning and see how they can help.

Well in the next 2 days I'm heading back to the place I have purchased and installed from!! I've sent them numerous messages and have spoken to them. Before I lose my marbles I like to give people a chance, I rekon they will !!

The JB4 will shut itself down if it doesn't like something. Do a JB4 datalog and we can see why its doing that.

A friend mechanic come for a drive with me and the wooshing noise is dumping boost... Checked the just installed er charge pipe and the hose at intercooler end doesn't seem to be sitting in properly... That now makes sence!!

Codes I'm getting
2c90
2774
387f
29d0
29d2

Hope when the charge pipe is properly connected and codes reset they don't come back and JB4 installed correctly

Sorry about background radio music

How I read codes

If your charge pipe is installed incorrect or if it "blows off" that will give the symptoms you are having....No boost and a "whooshing" sound for sure.

Yeah your right.. The er charge pipe was not installed correctly!! And jb4 now installed correctly in dme box with extension harness ... All good and car now pulls really hard, but a bugger to get off the line cleanly.

You can limit boost in 1st or 2nd gear with the JB4 if you'd like. I'm toying with the idea since its not like you can just "learn to control it" without an LSD.
