Send back mate and request a refund, mine lined straight up, took all of 15min to remove oem and fit the alpha-n diffuser and we had no troubles with so something has gone wrong with the one you have during the manufacturing process.

I had the same issue with mine.

You need to remove the rear bumper to install the diffuser with perfect fitment.

That sucks! A little off topic....do you know anyone with the slek diffuser? Is the fitment pretty good on that?

I've got a revosport diffuser and have installed Vorstiner and others and I can tell you that no composit body part is going to fit perfect with the exception of BMW performance parts, they are close to perfect.
I would not hesitate to buy from Alpha N, there parts are Tits.

That is just a fact! No matter how much pushing & shoving it simply does not fit 100%. You can tell from their promo photos that all conveniently taken from flattering angles.

I wish BMW made a CF diffuser and a performance exhaust for the 1M, but I'm afraid that BMW has long forgotten the 1M wunderkind which it created.
I think the key is customer service and communication. Previous threads was made about how poor they can be.

Unfortunately, I think your problem is not the mould, but on the laying. Claiming they all come from the same mould is just an excuse and BS as they know very well, how you lay the fabric in the mould makes a bit difference in the outcome.

I haven't been really interested in non-functional CF parts (bar the Akra exhaust tips ), but that's why I still haven't bite the bullet on any functional body parts as the companies who knows what they are doing aren't really interested in the 1M.

If I am buying something off the shelf at the moment I would consider Revozport because of their TUV certification, but there is still no guarantee that it will be perfect. My mechanic put the revozport on another 1M and he said their workmanship is faultless. However, another BMW Club member's feedback is that the fitment is not perfect.

Even BMW CF parts are not perfect - numerous report that the laying is poor and crack develops and even reported that BMW was saying it is the "nature of the product" on some problems.

Yeh sure, that's why they use it on all later model M coupes roofs. I wouldn't want hear that if I just bought a new M6,

To clarify it's the BMW Performance CF Products and there are reports that the CF wasn't lay straight and also reports of the wing cracks easily. I am not talking about roofs etc which is done to a completely different standard.

Why bother with CF... plastic for a diffuser is fine IMO... the weight difference is how much I had for lunch. I'd rather just have a good plastic copy of the OEM part that covers the muffler.

Never heard of issues with BMW CF parts ???
You are the one with the CF rear diffuser. I am only interested in CF functional parts which will take this OT
