I am running LRP on Monday and am curious to see what kind of lap times the 135i guys are putting down there. Any additional info like modifications, tires, fuel, temperature and so on would be helpful as well.
I'll be running toe to toe with a friend with a new 5.0 Mustang with light bolt-on modifications and brake upgrades so I have my work cut out for me. |

Is this a competition/timed event or HPDE?

I threw my traqmate in another guy's 135i in August, he was turning low 1:02's consistently, could have had low 1:01's if he put it all together in the same lap and carried some more mid corner speed. Full Dinan package and r-comps driven very well.

Oh, nice. That's pretty quick. Dinan intercooler, tune, suspension and the whole 9 yards?

I ran a 1:04:7X yesterday as my best time. I think I could've got that down to a 1:04 or a high 1:03 given no traffic. Should've moved up a run group because I was in traffic for every lap except for my 1:04.
Cobb stage 1 for power, Ferodo pads with Motul RBF 600 brake fluid, M3 sway bars, Powerflex subframe inserts, Wavetrac LSD. Tires, 245 Hankook RS3. |

You got lucky that you were there yesterday and not today. Solid times, LRP is tough to get a clean lap no matter what group you are in, usually best bet is the last session of the day when others are leaving early. Kind of regretting not signing up for this one, who knew the temperature at Lime Rock got above 40deg in November.

It was a ton of fun! I had one off on the first lap where I was just being too anxious and started to get movin' before there was any temperature in the tires or brakes.
My best was a 1:04.7x hitting 125mph in the front straight. I think the car is good for 1 more second or a 1:03.xx on a hot day where I can get some heat in the tires, but otherwise I just couldn't get enough grip/didn't have enough of an opening through traffic. For a car that's full weight, not using a fully adjustable camber plate, stock shocks and springs with stock suspension arms and links I am pretty pleased. It isn't as stable as I would like for that very reason... I need to move up in run groups next season as well. Bullying a 1M, 996 GT3, some Spec Miatas, Mustangs, Evo, Corvettes is always a good day in my book... Sadly, I am camera retard and was only able to capture some of my slower laps and then the battery died... Very sad. Here is a quick video where you'll see me playing around with the car a bit in traffic and a little action. Note that I was getting some serious fender rubbing with the new tire setup so I was a bit cautious in the uphill where it was really bad and actually put me sideways on one lap. Nice sidways action at 4:30... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj39d8GUyfo |

Just found this thread. Thanks to "SkinnyVT" for letting me use his traqmate. I cannot wait for next season to use my own data system to improve my track experience. I'll let you all know when i break through the 1-minute barrier at LRP.
