135i to 1M conversion completed photos

Some of you have seen my build thread. If you haven't, this is a 2012 135i with a full 1M body kit on it done by LTMW (formerly LTBMW). The 3M satin black was done by Elevated Auto Concepts, carbon splitter provided by SLEK, tires by Nitto, and wheels of course by ADV.1. I can't thank everyone enough for the support and help to get this car done. It was literally done in just over a week from start to finish.

It's not completely done yet. You can see there's no exhaust and that's because of the location of the 135i battery. I will be fixing that next week! Also, these wheels were a customers and my real set will be on shortly to debut a new design we have.

If there's any questions just let me know! Hope you enjoy. Also, please ignore the dirty wrap lol.

Sexy! I saw you were looking for OEM 1M wheels to borrow for abit there, are you deciding now to showcase that new ADV1 design? Or was that the plan all along?

This photoshoot was from a few weeks back when I still had these wheels. Right now I'm on OEM M3 wheels until our new design is finished. Hopefully I'll have them soon. Here's a quick little teaser:

Very very nice! Can't wait to see the finished product. Curious to see what you will do with the exhaust.

a little devils advocate...It looks fantastic, but wouldn't it have been more cost effective to buy a 1m...cause now you just have a wide 135i with a weaker motor and missing all the other nice drivetrain/interior stuff that comes with the m...and probably similar cost

OP's car was in an accident and much of his conversion was mitigated by his insurance company.

I am in the process of converting my car and can honestly say it is not cheaper for me to part out, sell my car and hunt down a 1M.

Looks like you can get into a used 135i for a little over 20K and used 1m's, if you can find them, are priced at 55K+. So that's over 30K difference so no, probably not similar costs. Had they kept building 1m's I think it would have been different.

Cool makes more sense that way

But as far as your project it is a much different situation than a brand new car that is a 40k start

Even selling a $40k car, you would have to find and buy a 1M for $55k (average 1m selling price) which is about $60k after tax... You are looking at a $20k difference.

A 135i with a 1M conversion is absolutely no way a substitute for the real thing. No amount of money put into a 135i will make it a 1M, however for much less, you can have a car that will match it in performance. I mean that with no discredit to actual 1m owners.

This isn't meant to start a debate of 1M's vs 135i's. Just loved the look of the 1M's and was going to be redoing my quarter panel anyway so I figured why not be the first.

There's some guy rolling around colorado who did it, don't remember his name however. I think I heard about someone else too, but that I cannot confirm. Its not like it matters either way, custom or oem parts, its all the same thing.

Well, the difference with the Prior Design kit is that it has some fiberglass parts and the rear quarter panels are just widened instead of being fully replaced. So a full OEM conversion would be higher quality.
