ARGH bloody RFT's
Just heard back from the dealer that i have a nail in the front tyre!
they are quoting $620 to replace one! Plus the $200 for alignment... Does anyone have a set of RFT's that they want to sell immediately. Im still buying another set in April but need another set now... |

Ask about tire/wheel insurance while you're getting this one replaced.
I signed up for it...I know it was about $580 USD, but given that the replacement tire could be around $400, I looked at it like paying for a replacement tire in advance. The way it was explained to me anyway was it could be use an unlimited amount of times within a 4 year period.

Gotcha. Thanks. But technically you can without hurting the car, right?

I'm not sure that wheel and tire insurance is available in Oz. I'm sure I will be corrected if it is!

Well, update for today.
Managed to find a tyre shop that was willing to patch the tyre, but when they removed the tyre they noticed that the screw didnt penetrate through the tyre (hence no air loss) removed the screw and only noticed that it was a short one. Phew... $500 bucks saved! |
