Screw the tee mod, just go into the driver side rear panel in the trunk and unplug the harness as flap defaults to open...

Dredging this thread up as I have a related issue. On my 2010 N55 135i, the exhuast flap control solenoid has become noisy. It buzzes off and on, and it's very audible in the cabin.

So I disconnected the power from it. A couple of weeks later the car threw a code and went into limp mode. When I interrogated it, the code was 2E4C, which is:

0x2E4C
11852
Exhaust gas flap, activation: Line disconnection
The diagnostic function monitors the activation wire to the exhaust-gas flap.
P0475

This causes a yellow limp mode along with the bongs and taking over of the display - it's certainly not a silent code.

Now, I also run a BMWPE, so I don't even need the solenoid. Does anyone have any solutions for how to get rid of:

a) the code being thrown if I disconnect the solenoid
or
b) how to stop the solenoid buzzing? (I can't even find a part number for it on realoem)
