European Plate??

Hey I keep seeing all these E90's with the Euro Plate attached to the front, yet I dont see the plastic holder, How are they attaching these plates?
I certaintley dont want to drill holes in my bumper, and getting the plastic holder seems ugly..

Any suggestions on the best way to put on the front euro plate?

I've heard of people using really strong double sided tape. Mabye that would work.

The double sided tape llmaslayer is talking about isn't the regular ones you might be thinking of. He probably means the double sided tape from 3M that's used for sticking on a spoiler or a bumper lip. That would definitely be enough for keeping license plate holder stuck to the bumper.

Yes, it's the 3M industrial strength double sided tape. It's black in color and hold up to 5 pounds with a 1 inch strip. It works.

For those with experience with this 3M double sided tape, is there damage of any kind to the exterior or paint when/if you need to remove the tape?

The proper BMW way uses 4 Screws

You will notice on the left hand side ( when looking at the front plate ) there is a screw in each corner with a little blue cover on, and on the right side corners a screw with a white cover on

Look clodsely on this pic, you can see the blue ones, and just make out the white ones

E90Fleet, that is a great picture you posted. I know this is off topic, but how would you out there describe this shade of Arctic? It looks like grey to me. Does anyone see any greens or blues? Thanks.

I've only had one BMW (out of 7 in the family) done the "real bmw way". Most dealers I know generally just tape the number plate on. This makes it very difficult to remove, and if you do remove the plate...the tape it damn difficult to get off aswell...

Dealers are lazy and take the eazy way out.

Or some want you to advertize them by having a numberplate holder with their name on it  last car I picked up I took the holder with their name off and threw it on the floor and told them they arnt paying me to advertise them

sorry i should've been clearer in my post

i've already got a plate and a flat frame.

the problem is i don't want to bend the plate or frame when i put it on the front of the car. basically the plate is flat but the bumper is slightly curved. it doesn't lie flush against the bumper and there is a 1cm space between the front of my bumper and the ends of the plate.

i'm looking for a frame that will eliminate this space as pictured.
