I measured mine. You are not lowered. You need a different length than me. (mines shorter than yours)

Awesome time!! I fully enjoyed getting the FTD for ALL BMWs! The course was awesome, everything ran like a Swiss watch, and we got all cleaned up about 2 minutes before the sky opened up. Those V710s are amazing, and holy cow do they grip.

Dan Mull (our chapter photo guy) sent me this pic of me tripodding on one of my runs. One of the better pics I've seen of me flogging cones.

I did some quick analysis of those that had at least 3 autoX runs this year, excluding Larry (tire change may throw off the data). I compared our average times to the average of the winners from the As-E classes for each event to see how we have done.

I think we should all be proud of how we have improved so far.

Larry, are you zooming in there to show us the cone mark there on the lip?

Weak sauce on the omission. Boooo! Even without yesterday, I ran in B for other events.

Good work on the improvements tho!!

The zoom in is the vast molecules of O2 under said rubber. (cone mark is from last season.. I just keep forgetting to lay on the ground to buff it out while washing the car)

I never have seen a BMW lifting a rear wheel. I believe that was the conversation.

I've seen plenty lifting the front.

White balance? Must be the down side of too much Zaino.

Cool! Rob, I have to say that you are playing with some big boys at the top of DS as well. On your novice season, you're doing amazing and finishing on top of some serious drivers! Are you running stock tires?

(or was that bitching again?)

Agree.

The Mini drivers were calling my car "the cheater car" last year. You guys gotta stop doing so well, or we'll have to reclassify the Minis and 1ers.

As for my "cheater car", I swapped my 135 with a Mini S driver's car for an event, and put that theory to rest.

some pics!

in order:
- Brian
- Larry (edit: actually, on closer inspection, that may not be Larry! just his car. my bad)
- the Lotus (just hit a cone!)
- 911 turbo
- a bmw that's tripodding it's rear wheel?? Sure looks like it, but those shadows are a tricky thing.
- Rachel
- Mike (my camera doesn't like your car's ass )
- the Formula Ford Citation
- ominous storm clouds closing in on us 1s after being beaten up on the course
- and all of the 1s that stayed for a photo (from left: Larry, me, Mike, Rachel, Brian)
