Is not necessarily the miles. Many other factors can affect the leather...driver weight/size, number of times the person is in and out of the vehicle, maintenance (doesn't look like much has been done), etc.
That seat would benefit greatly from a thorough cleaning and conditioning (http://www.leatherique.com). It won't ever look new again, but it can look worlds better. |

I would check additionally the wear on the steering wheel, all three pedals (in particular brake and clutch pedals) and the gear knob... if you suspect an higher mileage than the one advertise you can check via the VIN what mileage it had the last time it was serviced (at BMW)
