1M PFC-06 vs. PFC-08???

I am looking to get a set of track pads for my one M and from what I've read/talked about I think I would like to go with some PFC's. It seems most use the '06 compound to avoid the "symphony" of noise you get driving the '01's cold. I saw that PFC now also offers an '08 compound which is supposed to wear even longer than the '06 and have "smoother" initial bite....

Does anyone have experience with either of these in their 1M and could comment on one over the other?

Thanks!

I've run them both. Neither has corrosive dust. I believe that PFC is phasing out the PFC-06 in favor of the PFC-08, which stops even better and lasts longer.

For racing, I'd go with the PFC-01. For open track days/HPDE's, I'd go with the PFC-08.

JC: Also the guy who sells the awesome CF brake duct backing plates! Well that makes sense then! haha thanks.

I am not to the point of serious track time yet so I wanted a good pad I can swap on one weekend and drive to the track with and not beat up my stock pads while still under maintenance. Besides seems like a good Investment for the approx. $450 they run.

I've heard with proper modulation you can orchestrate Beethoven's third symphony with the PFC-01's

I know. Of course noone likes to list this on their websites (heck I have even looked at sites today listing "135I M series" and no 1M!) So I'd rather put on my flame suit and ask twice, buy once

And thanks Niel!

Anyone know if bimm world has coupon codes?
