Well, it makes your car look like a Transformer, or some sort of Cylon! If that is the look you want, go for it. Kind of cool on a black car.
The other color that might look good with black, even though it is probably illegal, is green... kind of like the Green Hornet's Black Beauty car from the old TV show. |

I have them on my jet black for over a year.
No issues and no police comments. They look sick on the highway. To convince you have a friend drive it while you are in their car and at night have them do a fly by. It looks so evil

Looks mean! I've been wanting to do this but it's not worth risking a big ticket to have.

Might as well hook a strobe light ontop of your car...

Anyone know if any high end companies make these?

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think im just going to keep them since its takes 5 minutes to swap in and out.
In regards to "High End", I ordered them from a company called EFX, I have ordered two 10k convert kits from them previously and was happy with the quality, support, and longevity of the products. I would say these are decent quality, wasnt too trilled about the ballest but fitment and installation was a breeze. The ballest also sits in the light cap so no drilling/modification is required. Overall they are very bright at night but almost invisible in bright sun light which seems typical for most setups like this |

There's a reason this is illegal. It will confuse drivers in front of you, when they look in their rear-view mirrors. Confusing drivers in front of you is neither a nice - nor a smart - thing to do.
