suspension install shops?
Trying to find an install shop in the Northern Virginia area to put in some new springs, struts and shocks, but they all want between the $700-900 range for labor.
That seems a bit high to me, does it truly take 6.5 hours for a professional shop with lifts, air tools and years of experience that long to complete or should I just prepare for a KY lube job? Does anyone know of any good shops that you can recommend in NOVA. Greatly appreciated |

Why not install it yourself? It's not very hard. Or if you want you can pay me $400 to do it for you I've heard good things about RoadRaceTech in sterling, but have no clue about their prices.

Sorry man, but its not near as easy as you make it out to be. Theres alot of shit that goes into even just a spring and shock install that most people cannot take care of. Not only do i not have probably half the tools, or a lift, etc. But id much rather the work on my car be warranted, than install it myself, have it be fucked up and then im screwed. |

I've installed suspension on 5 cars....pretty easy stuff for me. You just need some basic tools and a spring compressor really. The warrantied part though makes sense.

Mach V Motorsports in Sterling, VA. They are great and do a very professional job. Though you could try and do it yourself, there is no way you can align the suspension yourself without a machine, the tolerances are very close. Mach V has done several cars for me and my friends, most recently the KW suspension on the 1 series, all in the $700 range for a full days work. Well worth it though!
I had friends install suspension long ago, and even being very careful, things always took longer, and we still needed a proper alignment afterwards. |
